Hello, we are "KAWAMURA"
「カワムラ」は、2014年の冬から夫婦2人で「シタマチラボ」の屋号で活動を開始し、2020年4月、屋号を「カワムラ」に変更しました。
東京の下町から愛知県名古屋市に移転したのを機に、職人であった祖父の「河村袋物工業」の屋号を何かの形で残したいという思いとともに、夫婦2人のものづくりの方向性が次のステップに入ったという意味合いも込めて「カワムラ」としました。
In the winter of 2014, a husband and wife team began working together under the name "Shitamachi Lab".
In April 2020, we changed our name to "Kawamura."
When we moved from downtown Tokyo to Nagoya City in Aichi Prefecture, we wanted to keep the name of our grandfather, who was a craftsman, "KAWAMURA bag products" in some way. And also want to include the meaning that the direction of our creativity has entered the next step.

夫・覚は、「カワムラ」の名前で、木、鹿角などを素材にした繊細な彫刻と革小物を作っています。

Sewings
妻・しほは、「カワムラ ソゥイング」の名前で作りを工夫した、オリジナルの服を中心とした布仕事をしています。
